December 9, 2006 (ADMU Barkada's Christmas Dinner) This is the first time I drove with a Non-Licensed Passenger. I wasn't supposed to drive that day until one of our barkada said that he couldn't make it and he was supposed to be the one driving. I was going to back out and suggest to Ealden and Keuw to take a cab instead until my dad told me to bring my younger brother to ADMU so I practically had no choice (and through encouragement by my officemates in O&B). Anyway, thank God nothing happened. I parked the car in ADMU and went straight to area.
After area, Katipunan became so traffic and it started to rain. Ealden and I had to leave ADMU immediately since I didn't want to drive at night (didn't have any practice driving at night) Fortunately, the heavy traffic part was only before the Katipunan Fly-Over. We reached Cubao, picked up Keuw and went straight to Marikina. Unfortunately, traffic was hell in Marcos Highway. We got stuck in traffic and only reached JR's house at around 8:00pm (after a two hour drive). We then decided to spend the night at JR's and just go home the next day.
December 15, 2006 (Client Christmas Party) This is the first time I drove alone and one of the most unforgettable dates in my life. After staying in the office at around 5:45am to finish some test cases, my team mates and I went back to the hotel to take a short nap. I woke up at around 9:30am and hitched a ride with Charo going back to Cubao at around 11:00am. When I got home, I took a bath, ate lunch and walked to Ali Mall to buy a birthday gift for one of our clients that Clair and I planned to give. After finishing all my tasks, I drove myself to the client's office using the EDSA route (Note: I hate buses!). Anyway, I was able to make it safely and park at Camelot.
When I arrived, our client informed us that we couldn't back out in the Christmas presentation tonight. So, we had no choice but to plan something asap. Glenn and Clair volunteered to dance if Bruno (the graceful Fitness First Instructor) agreed to teach and join them in the dance number. It was all set. The three decided to practice in Camelot while Butch, Oliver and I tagged along to watch them prepare. Later, Bruno forced me and Oliver to join in the presentation. We hesitated at first but decided to go for it as well for JP, Mandarin Oriental, Client Happiness and later, the Php 2,000 cash prize.
We practiced only for 1 1/2 hours and then went straight to the party. We were so nervous at first that some of us didn't eat well, smoked (not me), or just looked at the buildings around us. We said that this would be the slowest 2 minutes of our lives but when we were called in as the 6th presenter and the lights went all-Disco, it actually became the fastest 2 minutes of our lives. We were all just following Bogart (the sweet Fitness First Instructor / same person as Bruno). After the presentation, most of the spectators stood up and clapped in the end of the presentation. The company's IT VP gave our CTO a high five. We were so amazed and shocked... har har har (-Glenn) ... Go Client Happiness! Hahahaha!!!! (-Martin). I really didn't know what made me dance since this was actually the first time that I did it. Never did I dance in GS/HS/College. Anyway, we won 3rd place and got our Php 2,000.00 cash prize.
After the party, we all headed to Camelot to eat and rest. At around 3:30am, JP, Glenn, Owie and I walked to Tropical Hut Crossings in QAve to have early breakfast and talk (our usual Friday-Saturday Overnight Bonding Sessions). We all went back to Camelot at around 5:00am to rest.
December 16, 2006 (After Client Christmas Party) Glenn, Owie and I woke up at around 8:30am Saturday Morning. Owie and I headed for our main office in Makati while Glenn met with his girlfriend somewhere near ABS-CBN. Owie and I actually got lost in Makati that I think we almost circled Makati trying to find a way to get to the office. Anyway, we went to Glorietta to have our haircut and buy Owie's speakers (his gift to himself).
December 17, 2006 (Shopping with Brothers) My brothers and I decided to go out today to shop for Christmas Gifts. My older brother let me drive and we three went to Metrowalk and Glorietta. We got caught up in traffic that we got scared that the lancer's gas won't reach since the gas sign turned red. (Thank God and we reached the gas station on time!). Anyway, we got all the gifts we intended to buy, the dvds and even bought and finished 1 box of Yellow Cab (my treat). I missed going out with them since we rarely do now with our busy scheds. Well, we really can't wait until December 31! Just two weeks more!
